Country music fans have a big reason to get out this Tuesday! Josh Turner is coming to the Toyota Center, bringing his unmistakable deep voice and a catalog of country hits to the Tri-Cities.

Known for songs including “Your Man,” “Would You Go With Me,” “Why Don’t We Just Dance,” and “Long Black Train,” Turner has been a country music favorite for more than two decades.

This is one of my top picks of the week. Grab dinner in Kennewick before the show and make a full night of it!

Thursday nights and Live @ 5 just feel like summer in the Tri-Cities.

Grab some friends, bring the family, and head to John Dam Plaza for live music, food, drinks, local vendors, and a great community atmosphere. It's an easy way to get out of the house and enjoy a summer evening in Richland.

Clover Island Summer Concert Series

There aren't many better settings for live music than along the Columbia River.

Bring your lawn chairs, enjoy the river views, grab something to eat or drink nearby, and settle in for an evening of outdoor music.

Don't forget about our local wineries, breweries, restaurants, and tasting rooms. Many feature live music throughout the weekend, especially on Friday and Saturday nights.

Richland, Benton City, and Red Mountain are especially worth checking out if you're looking for a combination of live music + local wine + sunset views.

Summer isn't complete without a night at the ballpark!

Check the Tri-City Dust Devils schedule for games and promotions happening this week. Even if you're not a huge baseball fan, a Dust Devils game is an easy summer night out with friends or family.

Grab a hot dog, find your seat, and enjoy baseball under the lights.

Fresh produce, baked goods, flowers, specialty foods, and locally made products make the Pasco Farmers Market worth visiting.

It's also a great excuse to spend some time exploring Downtown Pasco and supporting locally owned businesses.

Start your Friday by strolling through one of the area's most popular farmers markets.

You'll find seasonal fruits and vegetables, flowers, baked goods, handcrafted items, artisan foods, and plenty of local vendors.

This is one of my favorite ways to start a Saturday.

Grab a coffee, walk the market, pick up some fresh produce or something locally made, and support Tri-Cities small businesses.

🍷 Spend an Afternoon in Tri-Cities Wine Country

After the farmers market, head toward Benton City and Red Mountain.

August is a fantastic time to explore our local wine country. Many wineries offer outdoor seating, food, wine flights, beautiful views, and live music throughout the summer.

Make an afternoon of it and visit a couple of tasting rooms, grab something to eat, and stick around for sunset.

One of the things I love about living here is how quickly you can go from shopping a farmers market in town to relaxing at a winery surrounded by vineyards.

Looking for something to do with the kids? There are plenty of options around the Tri-Cities that don't require an entire day.

🎠 Gesa Carousel of Dreams – Southridge
Take a ride on the historic carousel and then explore everything else happening around Southridge.

💦 Local Splash Pads
When August temperatures climb, the splash pads around Kennewick, Richland, Pasco, and West Richland are an easy way to cool off.

🌳 Howard Amon Park – Richland
Playgrounds, riverfront walking, plenty of grass, and access to the Columbia River make this one of the area's best family parks.

🌊 Columbia Park – Kennewick
Miles of trails, playgrounds, river access, picnic areas, and plenty of room to spend an afternoon outside.

Want to get outside without spending any money?

Badger Mountain and Candy Mountain are two of the best options in the Tri-Cities. August can get hot quickly, so an early-morning hike is definitely the way to go.

You can also walk or bike sections of the Sacagawea Heritage Trail along the Columbia River.

Get some exercise, enjoy the views, and then reward yourself with coffee or breakfast afterward!

🚣 Get Out on the Water

When temperatures climb, there's a pretty obvious solution around here: head to the river.

The Columbia, Snake, and Yakima rivers provide plenty of opportunities for:

• Boating
• Paddleboarding
• Kayaking
• Jet skiing
• Fishing
• Swimming
• Relaxing along the shoreline

If you're not getting on the water, find a shady spot at Howard Amon Park, Leslie Groves Park, Columbia Park, or Columbia Point and enjoy the view.

🌅 Catch a Tri-Cities Sunset

You don't necessarily need an event to have a great night.

Grab dinner or ice cream and head somewhere with a view as the sun goes down.

A few of my favorite options include Clover Island, Columbia Point Marina, Howard Amon Park, Leslie Groves Park, and Red Mountain.

It's one of those simple things that reminds you how good we have it here.

August always seems to go by too quickly, so take advantage of these summer nights while they're here.
