Barracuda Coffee Company: A Richland Favorite That's More Than Just Coffee

by Ryan Vogt

If you've lived in the Tri-Cities for any length of time, chances are you've heard someone say, "Let's meet at Barracuda."

Located on Van Giesen Street in North Richland, Barracuda Coffee Company has been serving the community for more than two decades and has earned a loyal following for its handcrafted coffee, friendly baristas, and welcoming atmosphere.

A True Local Coffee Shop

Unlike national chains, Barracuda has built its reputation on relationships.

Walk in a few times and don't be surprised if your barista remembers your name or your favorite drink. That personal touch is one of the reasons so many Tri-Citians continue coming back year after year.

The shop offers:

  • Espresso drinks
  • Signature lattes and mochas
  • Cold brew
  • Matcha and chai
  • Lotus and Red Bull energy drinks
  • Smoothies
  • Italian sodas
  • Fresh baked pastries and breakfast items

Drinks You Have to Try

Some of the customer favorites include:

  • Honey Badger Latte
  • The Hemi
  • Kona Mocha
  • White Angel
  • Fresh pastries, bagels and cookies

Whether you're looking for a simple Americano or something a little more adventurous, there's something on the menu for everyone. Barracuda proudly sources their coffee beans from a local Tri-Cities roaster Rockabilly Roasting Company located in Kennewick, Washington

More Than a Coffee Stop

Barracuda isn't just somewhere to grab caffeine on your morning commute.

With indoor seating and an outdoor patio it's a comfortable place to catch up with friends, work remotely, or hold a casual business meeting. It's one of those neighborhood businesses that has become part of the fabric of Richland.

Why Local Businesses Matter

One of my favorite parts of being a Realtor is introducing people to the businesses that make the Tri-Cities feel like home.

Local coffee shops like Barracuda help create the sense of community that so many people are looking for when they move here. They're where neighbors meet, friendships grow, and local connections are made.

Supporting local businesses keeps our community thriving.

My Go-To Order at Barracuda

One of the best parts about highlighting local businesses is getting to share the places I genuinely enjoy visiting myself and Barracuda Coffee Company is one of those places.

If you're wondering what I order, my everyday favorite is an Iced Americano. It's smooth, refreshing, and the perfect pick-me-up whether I'm heading to a showing, meeting clients, or catching up on work between appointments.

When I'm in the mood to treat myself, I go with a Blended White Angel. It's the perfect sweet fix without being over-the-top, and it's one of those drinks I find myself craving on a hot Tri-Cities afternoon.

Another reason Barracuda has become one of my favorite stops is that they're incredibly dog-friendly. Whenever I bring my dogs along, the staff is always happy to welcome them with a treat. It's those little touches that say a lot about a local business and the people behind it.

As someone who spends a lot of time driving around the Tri-Cities helping clients buy and sell homes, it's places like Barracuda Coffee Company that remind me why I love this community. Great coffee, friendly people, and a welcoming atmosphere—you really can't ask for much more.
